Here are the time trial results. They don't mean much to me really. All I know is Warren and Greg beat me by a lot but I expected that. Great job guys!
I won my category but there were only 4 of us. I actually don't understand my category. Vet A F. I understand the F - female. And the Vet is probably cause I'm old ;) But where does the A come from? I haven't looked hard but I don't see a link on the website.
Oh and apparently I came 4th overall for women and 64th of 99 (overall). That's pretty good I suppose. Whatever, these results don't mean anything until I do more and can see improvement (hopefully!).
I was sad I had to have a rest day yesterday on the warmest day of the weekend missing a great ride with friends but my day actually turned out pretty darn good so no complaints here.
Hope everyone had a nice long weekend!

Vet A is 30-39, Vet B is 40-49, Vet C is 50-59, etc...
Thanks Roland! ;)
Aye - if you don't select Senior when signing up, you default to your age... I *could* race as a Master here (or Vet), being over 30, but instead i choose to race Senior/Elite. You beat the S women that signed up as well tho. ;)
Pretty good ride! Some very fast riders, and big differences in times..what's the course like? (Flat, hilly, corners?)
It shows you rode in 2004 (if you click your name), and in Apr then, you were 2mins better, but in Aug, you rode 10 seconds off this time..
Weather will make a big dif, looking at Warren's times in 2006, it seems he also picks up 2mins from May to Aug.. I haven't gone looking through other results to compare tho, so might be an anomaly..you can click around if you're feeling all statistical. =P
Pretty cool ranking system on the website tho!!
way to go Tanya!!
in 2006 I rode the TT's with Zipp 404's on my roadbike with clip on bars. in 2007 my daughter was born, didn't ride a TT till year end, rode them on my Giant roadbike kitted out with Hed tri-spoke, and disc. last year, Stevens Crono...and broke the course record on that bike. this year, Specialized S-works transition.
the bike, and the wheels make a difference, a helmet can give you 20 seconds (in a 15km course).
way to go Tanya!! before you know you will be hooked on TT's!
the OBC doesn't base the aging on your racing category...they base it on age only.
knowing the course where to gain and lose time also helps...its a flattish out and back course...13 or so KM's has fresh pavement, but the first and last 1km has old pavement...
Tanya, riding that Eddy Merckx style totally has style points..but the visor on the helmet...hmmmm....
